New Bag
April 20, 2008
I made myself a new bag. After the last one was lost in an unfortunate pregnancy induced barfing episode I felt I needed something new. It’s 6″ deep so it should hold an awful lot, has a curved bottom and two pocketss (one on the outside and one inside). I used some wide wale cactus colored cordoroy with some leftover blue and white floral cotton print.

More Envelope Style Wallets
December 23, 2007
I put together two more wallets similar to the two earlier in this blog. One has a giraffe and the other has a partridge-ish bird.

Giraffe Wallets
December 7, 2007
I made two envelope style wallets. One is for a friend, the other is unadopted at this point. They measure 8.5″ x 5.5″ with appliqued giraffe’s in the same fabric as the wallet insides.

New Fabric
November 24, 2007
I got some new fabric from RepotDepot. I find it really hard shopping for fabric online as the texture and look can be totally off vs. in real life. Happily this order turned out well.

It’s been awhile
November 24, 2007
Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything on this blog. I finished another large tote/shopping bag, but this time it has longer handles so that one my wear it over the shoulder if need be. Below are the pics.

Denium Skirt

Over the weekend I finished up this denium skirt I had started months ago then stuck in a corner. I added a bird applique to up the cute factor.

Wallet
September 26, 2007
Sometime over the last seven days was a good friend of mine’s b-day. In honor I made her a simple wallet out of cactus green cordoroy and a multi-striped cotton print. Below are a few photos of it.

Grocery/Shopping Tote
September 5, 2007
Over the weekend I put together a large roomy tote with short handles for the purpose of grocery shopping or for just shopping. It’s 14″Wide x 15″Tall x 7″Deep. The material is from my stash. The brown used for the sides and handles is cordoroy and the green is a heavy brushed twill. The inside and the animals are from a cotton print. This bag is my first attempt at using the statin stitch on my sewing machine to attach the animal appliques. It was soo much easier than I feared it would be and I think they turned out uber cute. Below are some pics.

Pillowcase
August 26, 2007
For a quick and easy project I’ve been digging though my fabric stash and making pillowcases for our bed pillows. So far I have made three. Two are envelope style and I put a few snaps on the third to keep it closed. Below is a pic of one of the envelope style cases. I will add the other two pillowcase pics once I’ve taken them.
